Saturday 13th December - Christmas Tree Festival
Christmas Tree Festival at St Leonard’s Church, Turners Hill
Join us on Saturday 13th December 2025, from 10 AM to 5 PM, at St Leonard’s Church, Turners Hill for our much-loved Christmas Tree Festival — a joyful tradition that brings together the whole village in festive spirit.
This year’s festival is proudly supported by 20 local businesses and organisations, each contributing a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. The church will be transformed into a sparkling forest of creativity — every tree unique, every display telling its own story of Christmas cheer. Some of the trees will even be available to purchase at the close of the festival.
As you wander through the glittering displays, take time to pause, to admire (and perhaps purchase) the artwork, and to soak up the music, the atmosphere, and the wonderful sense of community that makes this event so special. Afterwards, pop into the Church Hall, where refreshments will be served throughout the day — the perfect excuse to linger a little longer over a mince pie or a warm drink, and to browse the second-hand bookstall.
Entry is free, and everyone is warmly welcome. Donations are gratefully received in aid of St Leonard’s Church and St Catherine’s Hospice, helping to support both our parish and an organisation that provides exceptional care and compassion within our community.
So mark your calendars and bring your family, friends, and festive spirit — this is a day not to be missed!
Come and see Turners Hill at its twinkling best — where community, creativity, and Christmas magic come together under one roof.

9:30 Holy Communion celebrated by he Bishop of Horsham
We’re delighted to introduce Bishop Ruth Bushyager, the Bishop of Horsham — the first woman to hold this role in the Diocese of Chichester. 🌿
Bishop Ruth brings warmth, energy, and deep faith to her ministry, with a background in parish life, mission, and community engagement. She lives in Horsham with her husband, Ron, and their two daughters, and enjoys running and countryside walks with her dog, Maisie.
27th September 2025
We’ll be celebrating a very special moment in the life of our church: the Licensing of Rev Wim Mauritz as Priest in Charge. This isn’t just a formal service (though there will be plenty of lovely tradition and ceremony) — it’s also a chance for us as a community to welcome Wim officially, show our support, and look forward with excitement to the new chapter ahead. It promises to be a joyful and memorable occasion, filled with hope, gratitude, and plenty of fellowship. Everyone is warmly invited to come along, share in the celebration, and be part of this important day in the story of our parish.

✨ Big news at St Leonard’s! ✨
We’re delighted to welcome our new leadership team — Rev Wim Mauritz, and Rev Alex Wheeler who will be presiding at our Sunday services:
⛪ 10:00 AM every Sunday in September
⛪ 9:30 AM from October 5th onwards
Come and be part of this fresh new chapter at St Leonard’s — a warm welcome awaits you!
